About New York
New York State is much more than the city. Work and Travel students often choose The Hamptons — a string of resort towns at the eastern end of Long Island.
The summer population triples, restaurants run at full capacity, and demand for seasonal staff is huge. Pay is among the highest in the program, with tips often exceeding the base wage. Manhattan is two hours away by train or bus, so many students visit almost every free weekend.
