Maria’s Family Restaurant is in Chincoteague, Virginia. The island is a popular summer destination because of nearby Assateague Island, its wild ponies, wildlife refuge, beach and opportunities for boating, fishing and birdwatching. During the tourist season, local restaurants, hotels, shops and water-activity operators often need additional staff. A second job may be possible if it does not conflict with your main schedule and is approved by your sponsor. Free time can include kayaking, cycling, beach days, Assateague Lighthouse and the small waterfront town centre.

Orange Ruse
I have been part of the Orange team for sixteen years. I’m proud to have guided and supported more than 2,000 Work and Travel students. I believe I have helped them become more independent, grow, and create unforgettable travel memories. I joined the program in New Jersey and, through my work at Orange, have visited almost every Alaskan location where we send students.
